≡ Las personas tienen derechos, las ideas no… Y los intolerantes, tampoco.
Tiene derecho a tener la creencia más ridícula imaginable, pero si eso me hace reír, mi risa no debería ser ofensiva. Tiene derecho a su libertad de creer estupideces, pero no tiene derecho a ser intocable en su creencia, sólo en su persona.
Las ideas no necesitan derechos, las personas sí.
Pero el problema que tenemos los que abogamos por la razón es que, generalmente, cuando nos oponemos a aquellos que no lo hacen obtenemos una serie de defensas que van de lo risible, a lo peligroso, pasando por un espectro de fondo de amplísimo patetismo.
Generalmente se puede reconocer a esta gentuza porque se embanderan en legalidad y R_E_S_P_E_T_O, (así con mayúsculas y destacado), porque sostienen creencias tan ridículas y estúpidas que no se pueden sostener de ninguna otra forma. (Una cosa que he aprendido es que cuando alguien pide respeto como si fuera un derecho divino generalmente es porque no puede ganarlo o no se lo merece).
Normalmente respeto y legalidad es algo que las personas de bien tienden a defender y hace que uno se pregunte que es lo que está irrespetando.
¿Es discutir lo discutible o ridiculizar lo ridículo una falta de respeto?
Viendo las tres imágenes posteriores uno puede preguntarse, (y responderse), SOBRE QUE POSIBILIDADES, Y RAZONES, DE INTOLERANCIA dejan cada una de ellas.
Estos argumentos son esgrimidos habitualmente por personas con muy menguadas capacidades intelectuales, incapaces de defender su posición desde ningún punto dada su ineptitud física y mental.
Enclenques diríamos.
¿Qué debe hacerse respecto a los comportamientos culturales internos de cada sociedad?
Uno está tentado de ser tolerante, ¿verdad?
Pero entonces comienzan las ejecuciones, la ablación de clítoris, incluso la circuncisión, y ya las preguntas comienzan a hacerse y sentirse diferentes.
Podemos invadir ese país porque tiene petróleo… (perdón, fue un lapsus yankiae), digo … Podemos no permitir esas situaciones, pero estamos siendo contradictorios si decimos que es porque es lo correcto y nada más ya que toleramos cosas peores, o al menos tan malas, toleramos el hambre, guerras, miseria y masacres.
Se le achaca al reverendo M L King la frase de que el mal prospera no por las malas personas que hacen el mal sino debido a las que no hacen nada para frenarlo.
A la hora de ser intolerante creo que algunas cosas deberían estar prohibidas por ley.
Por ejemplo amenazar con males físicos o espirituales a aquellos que no suscriben a las creencias.(De hecho hace poco tiempo un musulmán que cambió de paranoia, digo de religión, fue ajusticiado y decapitado por apostasía).
Esto es común a todas las religiones.
La intolerancia en último término se diferencia de la divergencia de opiniones en que existe violencia física de por medio.
A nadie le gusta discutir las creencias que tiene muy enraizadas y que guarda con cariño, pero es inevitable porque no somos el centro del universo, y porque para aprender algo nuevo se debe saber que uno está equivocado.
Desaprender, para aprender. Es inevitable.
Lamentablemente.
Un ejemplo claro de la ignorancia acerca de la ciencia es lo ofendida que queda alguna gente cuando se le explica su situación.
¿Por qué le es tan importante a la gente que no sabe sobre ciencia, (y esto no implica ningún juicio moral por supuesto) , tratar de demostrar que saben qué es la ciencia?
Si alguien me muestra mi confesa ignorancia sobre arte chino de la III dinastía, no me ofenderé.
Si me interesa el tema trataré de aprender y de hecho, además, si voy a discutir sobre mis pareceres sobre el tema, con el sacrosanto derecho a la libertad de opinión, no puedo ofenderme si por mi ignorancia cometo un error garrafal y trato de insistir en convencer citando más gente que se equivoca.
Si la ciencia es el tópico, esto es de lo más común, moneda corriente diríamos.
Esta es, probablemente, la causa de la proliferación de las pseudociencias en personas y estados.(Algo comprensible si consideramos que las autoridades políticas normalmente vienen de sectores tradicionalmente orgullosos de su ignorancia en ciencias.
Pero …
¿Dónde está el daño?
Es sencillo, los presupuestos se diversifican en medicina y bosta pseudocientífica, ponemos palos en la rueda que funciona y tratamos de hacer que gire el cubo pseudocientífico que nos dijeron era una rueda, además de, por supuesto, gastar parte del dinero en arreglar o intentar arreglar, a la gente que casi se muere por utilizar homeopatía o acupuntura o cualquier otra farsa pseudocientífica.
¿Esto no es suficiente?
Hay más. Los laboratorios que “hacen” homeopatía están vendiendo agua o lactosa a precio de medicamentos oncológicos, (más caros en relación a lo que en realidad venden), es el negocio del milenio, o del eón.
Y hay gomierdos, el mío incluido que lo condonan y otros peores que lo aceptan y promueven. Como el caso de Cuba o Brasil por ejemplo.
La realidad es que no funcionan los principios en que se basa la homeopatía, los llamen leyes o mandatos divinos, no funcionan, son ridículos. Tan ridículos como alguien que quisiera curarse quemaduras de sol exponiéndose al sol en la peor hora.
No voy a abundar mucho en esto, les recomiendo el video colgado recientemente sobre James Randi.

O la idea de que tenemos meridianos de energía que se pueden manipular en el cuerpo.
¿Qué energía?
Las pseudociencias…
No funcionan en condiciones que se puedan comprobar.
Ni el cuerpo tiene meridianos ni el agua es mágica.
La acupuntura y la homeopatía no funcionan más allá del efecto placebo. Son una estafa que a menudo es defendida por los propios estafados.

Yo siento parecer el aguafiestas pero lamentablemente defender la homeopatía o la acupuntura es defender una estafa que nunca ha demostrado funcionar ni sobrevivir a pruebas de laboratorio o médicas.
Si fuera algo superior a la ciencia que tanto disgusto trae: ¿no debería funcionar siempre, o al menos la mayoría de las veces? ¿O tan siquiera UNA vez?

Las medicinas alternativas curan cualquier síntoma, no enfermedad, que no tenga base real, curan cualquier sintomatología con la misma eficiencia que un placebo.Es decir curan cualquier enfermedad siempre y cuando esta que no exista.

Mirando las imágenes de esta nota creo que es claro ver cual es la que otorga mejores y mayores garantías para el avance del conocimiento y la sabiduría humana.
Y también cual es la causa de que las pseudociencias deseen con tanto afán inmoral que se las reconozca como ciencias.
Mire el diagrama de flujo en el esquema de la ciencia: cualquier conocimiento que haya superado todos esos filtros tiene posibilidades de ser una explicación funcional y honesta de la realidad física.
Provisoria, pero funcional y honesta.
Honesta. Los seres humanos… bueno, eso es tema de otra discusión.
Pero si tenemos médicos que en afán de lucro pueden sostener tamaños disparates, eso ya nos dice todo lo que queremos saber acerca de los homeópatas y de los acupunturistas y de los que sostienen las medicinas alternativas.
